The Guidebook is RPGLMS’s public reference — no sign-up, no join code, no demo flag required. It holds a Guide, a Glossary, and an FAQ, and it’s the easiest way to see what a quiz feels like before you make an account.

Zero setup required

Open the Guidebook straight from a browser at app.rpglms.com/codex — nothing to install and nothing to sign in for. If you’re already signed in, Base Camp’s Guidebook button takes you to the same place.

Browse the Guidebook

  1. Open the Guide tab

The Guidebook has three tabs, and Guide leads — it’s also where you land by default. Guide lays out a row of mob stones, each representing a subject you can try. Glossary defines the game vocabulary (Trial, Rift, Engagement, and the rest); FAQ answers common questions.

  2. Tap a mob stone

Tapping a mob stone launches a Practice Quiz for that subject at /practice-quiz?subject=science or ?subject=econ. Science and Econ are currently the only two subjects. The parameter is case-insensitive, and a missing or unrecognized value falls back to Science rather than erroring — so a bare /practice-quiz link works and opens the Science set.

Play a Practice Quiz

  1. Answer without an account

The Practice Quiz plays like a real Trial — questions shuffle, your mob animates, and you answer against the clock — but there’s no sign-up, no join code, and no leaderboard.

  2. Ready for the real thing?

Once you’ve got a feel for it, create a free account and get a join code from your Gamemaster to start earning real leaderboard scores. See Signup & Join Your First Class.

Where the Guidebook fits

Unlike a Trial, Rift, or Engagement, a Practice Quiz doesn’t belong to any Party (Cohort) or campaign — it’s a standalone, always-available way to try the format. Once you’re enrolled in a Party, head to Progress through a Campaign for the real thing.
